Job summary

Opta Group LLC. is seeking an HR Business Partner to provide expert HR support across employment law, employee relations, leadership development, and strategic HR planning for the Pittsburgh region.

The role involves 50% travel to facilities in the USA and Canada and requires a strong manufacturing background. You will partner with plant leadership, drive data-driven HR decisions, manage day-to-day HR activities, and lead initiatives aligning with business goals.

Qualifications

• Strong manufacturing or industrial industry background required.
• Experience implementing HR processes in a plant environment.
• Maintain compliance with US federal/state and Canadian provincial regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coaching Plant Managers and Leaders on HR matters with strategic value-add.
• Create monthly HR dashboards to drive data-driven decisions at plant level.
• Handle employee relations issues, investigations, and disciplinary processes.
• Maintain accurate HR data in HRIS/Dayforce and payroll trackers.
• Partner with Talent Acquisition on hiring needs and pipelines; support job postings and interviews.
• Develop training programs with regional leaders to enhance leadership capability.
