Job summary

Gilbane Building Company seeks an HR Business Partner II to provide professional HR support across California and Arizona, focusing on recruiting, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation and regulatory compliance. The role sits primarily in the office and involves collaboration with local business partners and senior HR leadership.

You will contribute to strategic HR initiatives, support workforce planning, and promote Gilbane's Caring and People

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in HR or related field.
• 5–8 years HR experience, or a master's degree in HR with two years HR experience.
• 3 years minimum HRBP experience.
• International Business Partner experience.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve day-to-day employee relations problems.
• Manage College Hiring and Intern Programs (career fairs, interviewing and hiring).
• Participate in recruitment discussions and hiring recommendations.
• Support staffing meetings and workforce planning data updates.
• Advise on wages and salaries for Salary Planning Process.
• Champion annual performance appraisal process.
• Organize and conduct new hire orientation.
• Conduct exit interviews and derive lessons.
• Coordinate annual Succession Planning process.
• Participate in HR strategic plan initiatives.
• Stay current with employment laws.
