Job summary

Gilbane Building is seeking an HR Business Partner II to perform HR duties at a professional level and support designated regions. The role focuses on recruiting, employee relations, onboarding, performance management, and policy compliance, with primary on-site work.

The ideal candidate has 5–8 years of HR experience and a minimum of 3 years HRBP experience, preferably with SHRM certification. The position offers a competitive compensation package in California.

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years’ HR experience or master’s with HR experience
• 3 years minimum HRBP experience required
• International business partner experience helpful
• SHRM certification preferred but not required

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve day-to-day employee relations problems
• Manage College Hiring and Intern Programs
• Participate in recruitment discussions and hiring decisions
• Provide advice on wages and Salary Planning
• Champion annual performance appraisal process
• Organize and conduct new hire orientation
• Coordinate Succession Planning process
• Participate in HR strategic plan initiatives
• Maintain awareness of employment laws
