Job summary

Gilbane Building Company seeks an HR Business Partner II for California regions (Concord, San Jose, Los Angeles). The role covers recruiting, employee relations, training, onboarding, policy implementation, and compliance.

Office-based with a focus on collaboration with local business partners and senior HR leadership. You should bring 3+ years of HRBP experience, strong problem solving, and a track record in employment law compliance.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree.
• 5–8 years of HR experience, or a Master’s in HR and 2+ years.
• 3+ years of HRBP experience required.
• International Business Partner experience.
• SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve day-to-day employee relations problems.
• Manage College Hiring and Intern Programs and campus recruiting.
• Participate in staffing discussions and hiring decisions.
• Support workforce planning and salary administration processes.
• Champion performance appraisal and conduct new hire orientation.
• Coordinate succession planning and HR strategic initiatives.
• Stay current on employment laws and regulatory requirements.
