Job summary

Indiana University Indianapolis Campus is seeking an experienced HR professional to join Human Resources as an HR Generalist/HRBP. The role supports academic and administrative units, providing strategic guidance on talent acquisition, employee relations, and workforce planning.

The position leads recruiting initiatives, partners with leaders on organizational design, and helps drive retention and engagement. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 7 years of HR experience; SHRM-SCP/SPHR preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• 7 years of progressively responsible experience in multiple HR disciplines or related field.
• SHRM-SCP/SPHR preferred within 1 year from date of hire.
• Experience advising and coaching leaders to drive strategy to build and support effective teams.

Responsibilities

• Manages the recruitment process, including job postings, candidate screening and interviews; negotiates with leadership and candidates.
• Consults with unit leaders on organizational design and planning, providing strategic advice to help meet the unit's business objectives.
• Leads enterprise-wide HR initiatives that support long-term business goals, including mergers, restructures, and large-scale change management efforts.
• Provides HR consulting and problem-solving solutions on issues to leaders and managers.
• Collaborates with HR COEs to implement and support university-wide initiatives; ensures school/unit needs are understood and met.
