Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an experienced Human Resources Business Partner to partner with firm leadership on employee relations, performance management, talent development, and manager effectiveness.

The ideal candidate will act as a trusted advisor, guiding complex workplace investigations, corrective action, and employment practices while aligning people initiatives with business objectives in a collaborative, high-performance environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive HR experience with focus on employee relations and performance management.
• Strong knowledge of California and federal employment laws, including employee relations and investigations.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations and disciplinary actions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with thorough documentation.
• Experience with HRIS platforms and data-driven HR practices.

Responsibilities

• Advise leaders on employee relations, conflict resolution, disciplinary action, performance concerns, and terminations.
• Lead complex workplace investigations ensuring fair, timely outcomes.
• Coach managers through difficult employee situations, feedback, and corrective action.
• Oversee performance improvement plans and corrective action processes.
• Maintain thorough employee relations documentation and communications.
• Partner with HR leadership and legal counsel on sensitive matters.
• Identify trends to mitigate risk and improve organizational effectiveness.
• Ensure consistent application of company policies and employment practices.
• Conduct exit interviews as needed.
• Lead performance management processes, calibration discussions, and promotions.
• Support talent assessment, succession planning, and leadership development.
• Develop and deliver manager training and leadership programs.
• Create resources and training materials to strengthen management practices.
• Mentor junior HR team members and share best practices.
• Collaborate with HR Operations, Benefits, Compensation, and Talent Acquisition.
• Maintain broad knowledge of HRBP responsibilities for cross-functional support.
