Job summary

Beaver Run Resort in Breckenridge, CO seeks a seasoned Controller to lead all daily accounting operations, including GL, AP/AR, payroll, and revenue accounting, with responsibility for month-end close, audits, and internal controls.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance, 10+ years of financial leadership, and hospitality experience, with preference for CPA/CMA and NetSuite proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA or CMA designation or candidate preferred.
• 3+ years supervisory/leadership experience required.
• 10+ years of progressive financial management experience required.
• 3+ years in a resort, HOA, hospitality environment or multi-department operating experience preferred.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as NetSuite, Profitsword, Inventory Systems, Property Management, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly financial close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Oversee GL, AP, AR, Payroll, Revenue accounting and month-end close.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and implement improvements.
• Oversee payroll processing and payroll accounting and confidentiality of compensation data.
• Drive automation initiatives and system integrations to improve efficiency.
