Qualifications

• CPA or CMA designation or candidate preferred.
• 3+ years supervisory/leadership experience required.
• 10+ years of progressive financial management experience required.
• 3+ years in a resort, HOA, hospitality environment or multi-department operating experience preferred.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as NetSuite, Profitsword, Inventory Systems, Property Management, or similar.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly financial close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Oversee GL, AP, AR, Payroll, Revenue accounting and month-end close.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and implement improvements.
• Oversee payroll processing and payroll accounting and confidentiality of compensation data.

The role leads GL, AP, AR, Payroll, Revenue accounting, month-end close, and annual audit activities, and is responsible for CAMM and fixed-asset accounting, statutory compliance, balance sheet reconciliations, and systems implementations and integrations. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes, along with strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. As a collaborative hospitality leader, the Controller partners with departments across the resort to translate financial information into clear, actionable guidance, communicate effectively throughout the organization, manage multiple priorities, lead through change, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced hospitality environment. Full-time, year-round position with benefits eligibility. This position is located on premises in Breckenridge, CO.
