Crothall Healthcare in New Orleans, LA seeks a Patient Flow Manager to lead a team of Patient Observation Assistants, ensuring safe and efficient patient movement within the hospital environment.

The role requires managing dispatcher and transporter activities, coordinating with multiple departments, and maintaining compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Candidates should have hospital management experience and strong analytical skills.

Qualifications

• Experience managing in a hospital environment.
• Analytical ability to interpret data and distinguish trends affecting operations.
• Basic computer skills and ability to troubleshoot software systems.
• Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understands and applies knowledge of basic patient transport concepts, infection control practices, and proper body mechanics.
• Develops dispatcher logic and supervises dispatcher activity and transporter operations.
• Coordinates patient observation activities with other departments and develops service agreements as appropriate.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies including Federal, State, JCAHO, OSHA, and CDC.
• Orients, trains, and develops all levels of personnel such as dispatchers, trainers, transporters, couriers, drivers, and elevator operators.
• Assists unit director in achieving financial objectives, ensures department operates within budget, and assists controlling department expenses.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
