Job summary

Vizient, Inc. is seeking a strategic category leader to serve as a trusted business advisor for assigned category portfolios, developing and executing strategies that deliver measurable value for clients.

You will lead complex sourcing initiatives, apply analytics and AI tools, and influence stakeholders across clinical, executive, and supplier teams to achieve objectives and drive savings and standardization.

Qualifications

• Healthcare/Hospital/GPO negotiation experience required.
• 7+ years of relevant experience required.
• Experience leading category management, strategic sourcing, contracting, supply chain.
• Advanced analytical skills to translate data into strategic recommendations.
• Excellent executive communication and relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead comprehensive category strategies for complex portfolios that align with client priorities and organizational objectives.
• Serve as category SME and strategic advisor across sourcing, contracting, and value analysis initiatives.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives including RFI/RFP, supplier evaluation, negotiations and contracts.
• Develop and negotiate complex business, financial, operational, and contractual terms with suppliers.
• Lead stakeholder committees and facilitate alignment among clinical, executive, operational, supply chain, value analysis, and client stakeholders.
