Vizient, Inc. is seeking a Category Management Director to serve as strategic leader and trusted advisor for assigned category portfolios.

You will develop category strategies delivering financial, operational, clinical, and organizational value while guiding cross-functional teams and stakeholders through sourcing, contracting, and value analysis initiatives. The role requires leading complex sourcing initiatives, mentoring teams, and presenting strategies to executives.

Qualifications

• Experience in category management and strategic sourcing.
• Proven ability to influence executives and stakeholders.
• Strong negotiation and contracting experience.
• Advanced analytical skills to translate data into strategy.
• Experience leading stakeholder committees and cross-functional groups.
• Hybrid role with travel; three days/week in office.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead category strategies aligned with client priorities.
• Lead end-to-end sourcing initiatives from RFI/RFP to implementation.
• Negotiate complex terms with suppliers to meet objectives.
• Build consensus among stakeholders and Vizient teams.
• Lead stakeholder committees with clinicians and supply chain leaders.
• Monitor spend, utilization, and supplier performance to drive savings.
• Apply AI fluency to enhance strategy development and decision-making.
