Orthopedic Physicians Alaska seeks a Controller to own the finance function, drive close processes, and provide strategic financial leadership. You will lead accounting staff, oversee budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management while collaborating with physician shareholders and cross-functional teams.

The role emphasizes hands-on management, internal controls, and system enhancements to optimize financial performance and reporting accuracy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Seven+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience with five+ years in management
• Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on in daily operations and close processes

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise accounting staff to deliver high-quality outcomes
• Oversee bi-weekly payroll, weekly check runs, and month-end close
• Prepare financial models, forecasts, and scenario analyses
• Own the annual budget and forecasting process
• Monitor cash flow and plan for investments
• Review contracts and leases for favorable terms and proper accounting treatment
• Develop and enforce internal controls and policies
• Drive process improvement and technology adoption
