Job summary

MAXIMUS seeks an experienced health services leader to manage performance, quality, compliance and financial targets across a portfolio of health contracts in the West Midlands. You will drive strategy, ensure robust governance, and promote service referrals aligned to inclusion criteria.

You will build strong relationships with commissioners, local authorities and delivery partners, oversee programme delivery, and develop teams to meet contractual standards.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant field of Health Promotion, Public Health, Health & Social Policy, Social Sciences, or Community Development
• At least 3 years in health or social care related post
• Demonstrable management, leadership and mentoring within a similar role/environment
• Experience of working effectively with a range of stakeholders, with a confident ability to build successful relationships
• Evidence of effective delivery of programmes in line with contractual requirements and service level agreements
• Experience and confident in financial management, able to scrutinise budgets and support / inform P&L reports
• Familiar with business and service risk analysis, experienced in mitigating challenges faced
• Recruiting and developing multi-disciplinary teams
• Practised in writing reports, procedures, policies, popular communications for wider circulation
• Devising, implementing, and analysing performance measures for services
• Experience of delivering service improvements

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and deliver performance, quality, compliance and financial targets across health contracts
• Create and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and partners
• Embed quality, process and procedures; develop thresholds, referral criteria and governance measures
• Recruit and develop multi-disciplinary teams; oversee PDPs, supervision and annual appraisals
• Oversee clinical governance and audit activities, and support evidence generation and service improvements
• Deliver monitoring meetings with commissioners, subcontractors and partners to review performance and sustain contract growth
