Job summary

nVent is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth for the CADDY Fire & Seismic portfolio across the Southwest, focusing on Southern California. This remote, individual-contributor role combines engineering insight with sales strategy to expand adoption among contractors, engineers and project teams.

Required: a Bachelor's in a technical field and 5+ years of regional sales experience in construction or related sectors.

Qualifications

Requires a technical bachelor's degree and 5+ years in regional sales or similar roles.
Experience supporting construction projects involving fire protection or related systems.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to varied stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Grow assigned product categories by identifying opportunities and managing the sales pipeline.
Partner with contractors, engineers, and project partners to influence specifications.
Present, demo, and train on seismic design solutions to diverse audiences.
Support adoption of design software and tools to simplify installation.
Gather market feedback and shape future product strategy.
Collaborate with product, marketing, engineering, and sales teams on launches and expansion.
