Job summary

nVent is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth of the CADDY Fire & Seismic portfolio across the Southwest region, with a primary focus on Southern California. This fully remote, individual contributor role offers the opportunity to influence specifications and expand adoption in major construction markets.

You will partner with contractors, engineers, and project partners, travel up to 60% regionally, and contribute to product strategy and market expansion while supporting fire

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required, engineering or technical field preferred.
• 5+ years in technical sales, sales engineering, business development, or related customer-facing role.
• Experience supporting commercial construction projects involving fire protection or building systems is a plus.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts with contractors, engineers, field personnel, business owners and executives.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM platform.

Responsibilities

• Grow assigned product categories by identifying opportunities, managing the sales pipeline, and delivering regional growth.
• Partner with contractors, specifying engineers, manufacturers' reps, and project partners to influence specifications and adoption of nVent CADDY solutions.
• Help customers evaluate seismic bracing applications and product solutions for fire protection and mechanical/electrical systems.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and training to audiences from field installers to contractors and owners.
• Support adoption of nVent's seismic design software and other design/installation tools.
• Gather customer feedback, competitor insights, and market trends to shape future products and growth strategies.
• Collaborate with product management, marketing, engineering, and sales on new product introductions and market expansion initiatives.
