Job summary

nVent is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand the CADDY Fire & Seismic portfolio across the Southwest, with emphasis on Southern California. This remote, IC role requires up to 60% travel to LA metro and surrounding markets, engaging with contractors, engineers, and project partners.

You will drive growth by managing the sales pipeline, presenting solutions, and supporting new product introductions with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

5+ years in sales territory management in technical sales or related roles.
Experience supporting commercial construction projects involving fire protection or building systems.
Ability to communicate technical concepts to contractors, engineers, and executives.
Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM.

Responsibilities

Grow assigned product categories by finding opportunities and managing the sales pipeline.
Partner with contractors, engineers, and manufacturers' reps to influence specs.
Help customers evaluate seismic bracing, design approaches, and product solutions.
Deliver technical presentations and training to installers, engineers, and owners.
Support adoption of seismic design software and tools.
Gather feedback and market trends to shape future products.
Collaborate with product management, marketing, engineering, and sales for new introductions.
