Job summary

nVent is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth for the CADDY Fire & Seismic portfolio across the Southwest, with a focus on Southern California. This fully remote role is an individual contributor position supporting CA, NV, AZ, UT and TX, with up to 60% overnight travel.

You will partner with contractors, engineers, and project teams to influence specifications, evaluate seismic bracing solutions, and expand product adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; preference for engineering or technical field.
• 5+ years of experience managing a sales territory or regional sales in a technical field.
• Experience supporting commercial construction projects involving fire protection, mechanical, electrical, or related systems.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts with contractors, engineers, and executives.
• Experience influencing project decisions and building customer confidence through technical expertise.

Responsibilities

• Grow assigned product categories by identifying opportunities and managing the sales pipeline.
• Partner with contractors, specifying engineers, manufacturers' reps and project partners to expand adoption.
• Assist customers in evaluating seismic bracing applications and design approaches.
• Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations and trainings to diverse audiences.
• Support adoption of seismic design software and related tools.
• Gather feedback and market trends to shape future products and growth strategies.
• Collaborate with product management, marketing, engineering and sales on new product introductions.
