Job summary

The Hartford Steam Boiler (HSB), a Munich Re subsidiary, is expanding its Sensor Solutions business across the United States. We seek a Director of Strategic Business Development to lead sales with large property portfolios, build executive relationships, and drive multi-site deployments.

You will craft business cases, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and execute a land-and-expand strategy to accelerate adoption and recurring growth across REITs and property managers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Risk Management, Engineering, Technology, or a related field. Advanced degree is a plus.
• 8+ years of successful business-to-business or enterprise sales experience, preferably in commercial real estate, multifamily/habitational, proptech/IoT, building systems, or insurance/risk solutions.
• Demonstrated new-logo sales track record, including prospecting, executive relationship development, negotiation, closing, and expansion into larger accounts or portfolios.
• Experience with REITs, owners/operators, property managers, HOAs/condos, commercial real estate brokers, or insurance partners is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the growth of Sensor Solutions across the U.S., with a focus on large-scale property portfolios.
• Identify and pursue high-value opportunities and build executive-level relationships.
• Develop compelling business cases and lead complex consultative sales engagements with cross-functional teams.
• Execute land-and-expand strategy and create repeatable routes to market for recurring growth.
