Job summary

The Hartford Steam Boiler (HSB), a Munich Re company, is expanding its Sensor Solutions business and seeking a Director of Strategic Business Development for Property Solutions. This role focuses on large-scale property portfolios, REITs, and multifamily operators across the U.S., driving land-and-expand growth and executive relationship-building.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Risk Management, Engineering, Technology, or related field; advanced degree is a plus.
• 8+ years of B2B or enterprise sales experience, preferably in commercial real estate, multifamily/habitable, proptech/IoT, building systems, or insurance/risk solutions.
• Demonstrated new-logo sales track record, including prospecting, executive relationship development, negotiation, closing, and expansion into larger accounts or portfolios.
• Experience with REITs, owners/operators, property managers, HOAs/condos, commercial real estate brokers, or insurance partners is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue high-value opportunities in the U.S. property solutions market.
• Build executive-level relationships and develop compelling business cases.
• Lead complex, consultative sales engagements with cross-functional HSB teams.
• Execute land-and-expand strategies, converting initial deployments into portfolio-wide programs.
