Job summary

Ting Labs seeks a results-driven Business Development Director for Ting Data Services in the United States. You will drive market growth across utilities, public safety, government, commercial, and insurance sectors, translating Ting data into high-value solutions and navigating complex procurement.

You will own lead generation, qualification, pipeline development, forecasting, proposals, negotiations, and closing, while recruiting partners to expand access to end customers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise sales, business development, or partnerships experience.
• Proven ability to build pipeline and close complex B2B opportunities.
• Experience selling data products, analytics platforms, APIs, or enterprise software.
• Strong strategic thinking and market-building mindset.
• Ability to manage long multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
• Excellent executive-level communication and negotiations.
• Experience developing channel, solution, and GTM partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Develop vertical growth strategies for multiple target sectors (utilities, public safety, government, commercial, insurance).
• Generate and close new business, manage revenue targets, and advance deals through the sales cycle.
• Build strategic channels and partnerships to extend Ting data into solutions.
• Lead solution selling by aligning Ting data products to customer priorities and value.
• Navigate complex buying processes with executives, procurement, legal, and policy stakeholders.
• Own pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM hygiene with regular reviews.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Legal, and Ops to shape repeatable sales plays.
