Job summary

Housing Forward is seeking a Manager of Grants to lead our institutional fundraising efforts with foundations and grant management. You will identify opportunities, craft compelling proposals, ensure compliance, and steward relationships with funders.

The role requires strategic leadership, collaboration across departments, and a focus on growing foundation revenue. Under the Vice President of Development, you will develop and implement a comprehensive grants plan, manage reporting, and analyze

Qualifications

• 2–6 years of grant writing experience in fundraising/philanthropy or related field.
• Experience developing a comprehensive annual foundation plan.
• Proven track record of securing gifts and meeting fundraising goals.
• Commitment to Housing Forward’s organizational values.
• Reliability to travel and work at multiple sites as needed, with valid license.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Support VP of Development in establishing fundraising strategy.
• Lead the development and execution of a foundation plan with targets and actions.
• Identify, research, solicit, cultivate and steward foundation donors.
• Develop and implement the annual grants plan with reporting requirements.
• Analyze fundraising metrics and impact for foundation support.
• Oversee donor recognition and stewardship activities.
• Build relationships with funders and community leaders.
• Maintain donor management database and correspondence.
• Write grant applications, case statements, major gift and sponsorship proposals.
• Stay current on trends in fundraising and development.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
