Job summary

The Montrose Center seeks a Development Grants Coordinator to manage private grants from foundations and corporations. You will oversee the grants calendar, research prospects, write proposals, assemble reports, and support philanthropy strategies aligned with the organization’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in English, Journalism, Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Administration, Public Health or relevant field.
• Three years of professional experience in fundraising, grants or technical writing preferred.
• Access to reliable transportation, a Texas Driver’s License, and auto insurance required.

Responsibilities

• Research, write, prepare and submit exploratory foundation and corporate grants.
• Manage the Development grants calendar for timely submissions and reporting.
• Identify corporate and foundation grant prospects under the Chief Development Officer’s strategy.
• Collaborate with program staff for accuracy on program descriptions, reporting, KPIs and deadlines.
• Prepare grant budgets with leadership and finance approval to ensure financial accuracy.
• Represent Montrose Center as support staff for fundraising or stewardship events and community networking events.
• Perform other duties to support department and organization operations.
