Job summary

Macomb-Community-College is seeking a strategic Grants Office leader to formulate, administer, and evaluate college-wide grant strategies and performance management. You will guide development, compliance, and reporting to strengthen institutional sustainability.

Responsibilities include coordinating proposals, budgets, audits, and external consultants, while serving as the liaison to funding agencies and the Board’s grants oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of five years of experience in grant development and administration, including budget development.
• Experience interpreting and applying grant regulations, policies, and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for the Grants Office.
• Review, prepare, and analyze grant and contract proposals, ensuring compliance.
• Coordinate all proposal development aspects, including budgets.
• Identify and pursue external funding opportunities aligned with college goals.
• Oversee external consultants engaged in proposal development as appropriate.
• Coordinate site visits and audits with funding agencies and Budget Office.
• Serve as primary liaison for auditors and funding agencies.
• Maintain knowledge of grant regulations and ensure timely reporting.
• Provide grant-related training to ensure compliance with funder guidelines.
• Oversee grant-funded equipment inventory and Strategic Fund processes.
• Develop grant-related project summaries and annual grants reports for the Board.
• Chairs Grants Office policy improvements and Grants Council proceedings.
• Lead coordination of Strategic Fund processes with college personnel.
