Job summary

Alpha Softgels is seeking a Procurement Specialist in Ontario, CA, to manage sourcing of APIs, excipients, raw materials, and packaging for client manufacturing programs. You’ll balance cost with GMP compliance, supplier qualification, and campaign timelines, working across Quality, Manufacturing, and Project Management to secure materials on time.

The role requires a bachelor’s in a related field and 2–4 years in GMP-regulated purchasing or supply chain, with strong negotiation, ERP/MRP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 2–4 years in purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain operations.
• Familiarity with cGMP and supplier qualification.
• Experience with ERP/MRP platforms and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing & supplier qualification of APIs, excipients, and packaging.
• Contract and commercial negotiation of pricing, MOQs, and lead times.
• Support client programs with material cost inputs and schedules.
• Raise and manage purchase orders in ERP/MRP; track status and resolve discrepancies.
• Convert campaign demand into material requirements and manage stock levels.
• Ensure documentation (CoA/CoC/CoO) and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor supplier performance and mitigate supply risk.
• Support indirect and capital spend within facilities and services.
