Job summary

Creative Technology is seeking a Shipping & Logistics Coordinator to manage outbound and inbound shipments, from local deliveries to international freight. You will help refine internal processes for workflow, gear utilization, and inventory within established national procedures.

The role requires strong organizational skills, 5+ years in AV environments, and the ability to work nights/weekends as needed. CDL licenses and MS Office proficiency are pluses.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in a professional audio, video and lighting environment preferred.
• General knowledge of Audio Visual including Video, LED, Lighting and Audio.
• Highly organized, hands-on approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills in a fast-paced environment with strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Schedules drivers for local deliveries.
• Schedules subrental pickups and returns.
• Coordinates hotshots (airfreight).
• Performs administrative tasks supporting Operations including updated dispatch and inbound schedules, record keeping, and accounting.
• Works with Sales and project management to plan pickup/delivery times.
• Provides freight cost quotations to sales staff.
• Updates freight cost database with current costs.
• Determines space requirements of shipments in trucks and shipping containers.
• Negotiates rates with 3rd party carriers, freight forwarders, and couriers.
• Ensures costs are kept to a minimum without sacrificing service quality.
• Ensures all vehicles are maintained.
• Maintains service logs for each vehicle.
• Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
