Creative Technology Group in La Vergne, TN is seeking an experienced Operations Coordinator to manage outbound and inbound shipments for AV equipment, from local deliveries to international shipments. You will help optimize internal processes related to workflow and inventory, collaborating with sales and project management.

  • Schedules subrental pickups and returns.
  • Coordinates Hotshots (airfreight).
  • Performs administrative tasks to support Operations including updated dispatch and inbound schedules, record keeping, and accounting.
  • Works with Sales staff and project management to plan pickup and delivery times.
  • Provides freight cost quotations to sales staff.
  • Updates freight cost database with current costs.
  • Determines space requirements of shipments in trucks and shipping containers.
  • Negotiates rates with 3rd party carriers, freight forwarders, and couriers.
  • Ensures costs are kept to a minimum without sacrificing service quality.
  • Ensures all vehicles are maintained.
  • Maintains service logs for each vehicle.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.

The purpose of the position is to coordinate outbound and inbound shipments ranging from local deliveries to international shipments and everything in-between. This person will help develop internal process to address workflow, gear utilization and general inventory in conjunction with already established processes nationally.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Scheduels subrental pickup and returns.

  • Ensures all vehicals are maintained.
  • Maintains service logs for each vehicle.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Full-time, ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Availability to work overtime.

Requirements:
  • A minimum of 5 years in a professional audio, video and lighting environment preferred.
  • General knowledge of all aspect of Audio Visual including, Video, LED, Lighting and Audio
  • Highly Organized, hands-on approach.
  • Upbeat team player who can work independently.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced ever-changing environment with an emphasis on strong customer service.
  • Problem solver and ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Experience in management and or operations within a live performance service company is a plus.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with database equipment reservation systems.
  • R2 inventory software experience a plus.
  • Some experience in a warehouse or shop environment is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office Software (Outlook/Word/Excel).
  • Basic understanding of ATA Carnet format.
