Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a Senior Global Category Manager to lead sourcing strategies for cybersecurity and network operations software. You will develop global plans, negotiate high-value contracts, and mentor a diverse procurement team across regions.

You will build strong supplier relationships, drive cost savings, and ensure compliance with company policies while collaborating with internal stakeholders worldwide. This role offers hybrid in-office work in Chicago and surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, business, IT, or related field.
• Extensive experience in strategic sourcing and category management, with focus on cybersecurity & network operations software.
• Proven ability to manage and negotiate large, enterprise-wide contracts.
• Experience with RFx processes, from development to contract execution.
• Experience with eProcurement platforms and procure-to-pay processes.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a global team.
• High level of urgency, integrity, dependability, and results orientation.

Responsibilities

• Global sourcing strategy: develop and execute global strategies for cybersecurity and network ops software.
• Contract negotiation & management: lead complex contracts with global suppliers.
• Supplier relationship management: build and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
• RFx management: lead RFx processes from development through contract execution.
• Cost savings & financial management: achieve cost savings targets and ROI.
• Stakeholder management: collaborate with internal stakeholders and secure buy-in.
• Team leadership & mentorship: coach junior procurement team members.
• Process improvement: identify and implement process improvements.
