Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking a strategic Global Category Manager to lead sourcing for cybersecurity and network operations software from our Chicago-area base. You will shape procurement strategy, manage high-value contracts, and build supplier partnerships in a global context.

The role requires tackling cost savings, process improvements, and cross-functional collaboration with senior leaders while mentoring team members in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience in strategic sourcing and category management.
• Proven ability to manage large, enterprise-wide contracts.
• Expertise with RFx processes from development to execution.
• Experience with eProcurement and procure-to-pay processes.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proven success delivering procurement projects to completion.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for cybersecurity and network operations software.
• Lead and negotiate complex, high-value contracts with global suppliers and manage the full lifecycle.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and drive performance improvements.
• Lead RFx processes (RFPs, RFQs, etc.) and leverage eProcurement platforms.
• Aim for clear cost savings and financial impact while mitigating risk.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders to align sourcing with business goals and leadership expectations.
• Coach and mentor junior team members and drive process improvements across procurement.
