Job summary

Motorola Solutions seeks a Senior Global Category Manager to lead sourcing strategy for cybersecurity and network operations software. You will negotiate high-value contracts, manage supplier relationships, and mentor a global procurement team.

Location is hybrid with in-office days in the Greater Chicago or Greater Boston area. Target base salary ranges from $110,000 to $125,000 annually, with additional incentive plans and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
• Extensive experience in strategic sourcing and category management with focus on cybersecurity and network operations software.
• Proven ability to manage and negotiate large, complex contracts.
• Expertise in RFx processes, from development to contract execution.
• Experience with eProcurement platforms and procure-to-pay processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute global sourcing strategies for cybersecurity and network operations software.
• Lead and negotiate complex, high-value contracts with global suppliers across the lifecycle.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships; drive collaboration and performance reviews.
• Lead RFx processes from development to contract execution using eProcurement tools.
• Achieve cost savings targets and demonstrate ROI for procurement initiatives.
• Collaborate with global stakeholders; align sourcing strategies with business objectives.
• Coach and mentor junior procurement team members.
• Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
