Job summary

APi Group is seeking an Operating Company General Counsel to serve as the primary legal partner to the Group President and operating-company leadership across Davis-Ulmer, Viking Fire Protection Group, and USA Fire.

The role will shape business strategy, manage regulatory and employment matters, and lead a scalable legal operating model leveraging APi's global capabilities and AI-enabled tooling. Onsite in New Brighton, MN with strategic influence across the enterprise.

Qualifications

• JD degree from a reputable law school and in good standing with the bar association.
• 10+ years of legal experience in private practice, in-house at a large corporation, or in a government agency.
• Extensive experience in commercial and government contracts, regulatory compliance, risk and governance.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary legal and strategic advisor to senior leadership and operating-company leaders.
• Identify and manage legal, regulatory, operational, and enterprise risks.
• Lead and evolve a scalable legal operating model leveraging technology and AI.
• Oversee outside counsel, budgets, and matter management for efficiency and quality.
• Drive governance, compliance, and ethics across the organization.
