APi Group is seeking an Operating Company General Counsel to be the primary legal partner to the Group President and operating company leadership teams in New Brighton, MN. The role will shape business strategy with practical, commercially minded counsel across legal, regulatory, compliance, risk, and governance matters.

The role blends leadership of a scalable legal function with collaboration across APi's global legal capabilities, outside counsel, and technology, including AI tools to deliver

Qualifications

• JD/Bar in good standing required.
• 10+ years in legal roles (private practice, in-house, or government).
• Experience in commercial/contracts, compliance, governance, risk and employment in regulated or safety-critical environments.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary legal and strategic advisor to Group President and operating-company leadership.
• Identify and manage legal/regulatory risks while enabling strategic objectives.
• Lead scalable legal operating model with internal resources, global team, and outside counsel.
• Provide governance, budgets, and outside counsel management.
