Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to expand our air and ocean freight solutions across our Georgia territory. You will identify prospects, assess needs, and align DHL services to drive revenue growth while collaborating with regional teams.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years in forwarding sales, CRM/MS Office proficiency, and strong negotiation and presentation skills to close complex deals in a fast-paced environment. Local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of successful sales experience in forwarding with hunter mentality.
• CRM system and MS Office proficiency.
• Ability to build rapport and meet with customers off-site regularly.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong negotiation skills for complex deals and contracts.
• Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments with urgency and self-motivation.
• Decision-making under changing conditions.
• Ability to persuade and motivate others to take action.

Responsibilities

• Identify and contact prospective customers, assess needs, and match with appropriate products/services.
• Seek opportunities for increased and profitable sales on new and existing accounts.
• Pursue new business opportunities and drive KPIs to achieve sales targets.
• Manage an assigned territory with knowledge of potential customers and competitors.
• Foster customer and station relationships while collaborating with regional resources.
• Facilitate the transition of new accounts by handling introductions, information transfer, and securing paperwork.
• Generate and analyze sales reports to track performance, identify trends, and measure progress toward targets.
