Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding is seeking a Senior Business Development Manager in Georgia to identify prospective customers and assess needs, matching them with air and ocean freight solutions while managing a defined territory and driving growth.

You will build strong relationships, lead negotiations, present solutions, and collaborate with regional resources to close new business and expand existing accounts. A hunter mindset, CRM proficiency, and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years of successful sales experience in the forwarding industry.
• Proficient with a CRM system and MS Office.
• Strong rapport building and maintaining customer relationships; able to meet with customers off-site regularly.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Strong negotiation skills to navigate complex deals and contracts.
• Able to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments with urgency and self-motivation.
• Empowered to make quick decisions in response to changing conditions.
• Ability to persuade and motivate others to take action.

Responsibilities

• Identify and contact prospective customers, assess customer needs, and match with appropriate products/services.
• Seek opportunities for increased and profitable sales on new and existing accounts.
• Actively pursue new business opportunities and drive KPIs to achieve sales targets.
• Manage an assigned territory with knowledge of potential customers and competitors.
• Foster customer and station relationships while collaborating with regional resources.
• Facilitate the transition of new accounts by handling introductions, information transfer, and securing necessary customer paperwork.
• Generate and analyze sales reports to track performance, identify trends, and measure progress towards sales targets.
