Job summary

DHL Global Forwarding in the United States is seeking a Business Development Manager for Air Freight to drive new business and revenue growth. You will identify prospects, present rate options, and coordinate with regional resources to win accounts.

The role requires a hunter mindset, CRM and MS Office skills, strong communication and negotiation abilities, and the capacity to work across on-site and off-site meetings. You will manage a defined territory and report on KPIs.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years sales experience in forwarding with air freight selling.
• Proficient with a CRM system and MS Office.
• Strong rapport and off-site meeting ability.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Strong negotiation skills for complex deals.
• Sense of urgency; adaptable in fast-paced environment.
• Able to make quick decisions under changing conditions.
• Skilled at persuading others to take action.

Responsibilities

• Identify and contact prospective customers and assess needs.
• Seek opportunities for new and existing accounts; present rate options.
• Pursue new business opportunities and drive KPIs.
• Manage assigned territory with knowledge of customers/competitors.
• Foster relationships with customers and regional resources.
• Assist with onboarding accounts and paperwork; AR collection when needed.
• Generate and analyze sales reports to track performance.
