Job summary

Chesapeake Search Partners is seeking a Strategic Finance and FP&A Manager to join a growing organization. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role translates financial data into actionable insights that inform decisions across pricing, operations and strategic investments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
• 7+ years in accounting, FP&A, or related finance roles.
• CPA and public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, or similar).
• Ability to synthesize complex data into clear insights for business leaders.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales and operational leadership to analyze performance across facilities and programs.
• Analyze performance vs budget/forecast; identify variances and opportunities.
• Translate financial data into clear insights for decision-making.
• Lead pricing analysis, contract evaluations, and customer profitability analysis.
• Build business cases and investment analyses (NPV, IRR, ROI) for major decisions.
• Develop scenario analyses to support planning.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles.
• Build and maintain financial models for revenue, expenses and capex.
• Partner with operational leaders to understand business drivers and ensure financial plans reflect operational drivers.
• Prepare monthly financial performance packages for the board and executive leadership.
• Develop and maintain reporting metrics that improve visibility into business performance.
• Support accounting close processes to ensure accurate reporting and GAAP compliance.
