Job summary

The Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) in Boston seeks a Director of Financial Planning and Analysis to lead budgeting, forecasting, and long‑term financial planning. This executive role partners with the CFO and leadership to develop plans that support the Museum's mission and financial sustainability.

Responsibilities include building financial models, leading annual budgets, presenting analyses to the Board, mentoring FP&A staff, and advising on strategic initiatives and capital investments.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Economics or a related field; or Bachelor’s degree with substantial directly related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, coordination, and administration of the annual operating and capital budgets and multiyear plans.
• Develop and maintain rolling forecasts and long‑range financial plans.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual analyses for senior leadership and the Board of Trustees.
• Supervise FP&A staff and mentor team members.
