Delta Dental of California is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst - Federal to lead planning, forecasting, reporting, and contract economics for its Federal Government Programs portfolio in a highly regulated environment.

The role analyzes membership, revenue, expenses, PMPM profitability, and drivers affecting contract retention and growth; partners on pricing, bids, renewals, and management activities; mentors junior staff and drives enterprise-wide financial acumen through analysis.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis.
• Understanding of basic accounting concepts and principles.
• Experience with ERP/planning applications (Oracle/Hyperion preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive planning, budgeting and forecasting with business owners.
• Prepare monthly financial performance reporting and variance analyses.
• Perform high-impact analyses to drive strategic decisions.
• Manage cost allocations, profitability and scenario analyses.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models.
• Mentor junior team members and improve cross-enterprise financial acumen.
• Support development of analyses and key business drivers.
