Delta Dental Ins. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst - Federal to support financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and unit economics for the Federal Government Programs portfolio in a regulated environment.

The role involves analyzing membership, revenue, expenses, PMPM profitability, and contract economics to support pricing, bids, renewals, and contract management. The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of progressive FP&A experience, strong analytical skills, and familiarity with

Qualifications

• 4+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis.
• Strong organizational/time management skills and multi-tasking abilities.
• Detail oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of ERP and Planning applications (Oracle/Hyperion, SAP, IBM Cognos).

Responsibilities

• Drives planning, budgeting and forecasting process in collaboration with business owners.
• Prepares monthly financial performance reporting and communications to leaders.
• Performs high-impact analysis to drive strategic decisions across the business.
• Manages processes like cost allocations, profitability analysis, scenario analysis, rate review, and cost-benefit analyses.
• Develops and maintains complex models.
• Identifies opportunities and leads process improvements for operational efficiency.
• Mentors junior team members and oversees their work.
• Supports development of analysis and key drivers impacting business outcomes.
• Interprets data to deliver insights and support decisions.
