Delta Dental of California is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst - Federal to support financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and unit economics for Federal Government Programs. You will assess contract economics, support pricing, bids, renewals, and management activities through analysis of membership, revenue, expenses, PMPM profitability, and drivers affecting retention and growth.

Qualifications

• Requires 4+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; detail oriented.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of ERP and planning applications (Oracle/Hyperion preferred).
• Understanding of basic accounting concepts and principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting and planning processes with business owners.
• Provide monthly financial performance reporting and variance analysis to finance leaders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact analysis for strategic decisions.
• Manage key department processes such as cost allocations and profitability analysis.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models.
• Identify opportunities and drive process improvements for efficiency.
• Mentor junior team members and oversee their work.
• Support enterprise-wide financial acumen and partner education.
• Deliver insights to business partners to inform decisions.
