Job summary

Delta Dental Ins. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with underwriting and actuarial teams, develop advanced models, and quantify uncertainty to improve enterprise decision-making.

The role combines strong accounting with statistical analysis, Monte Carlo simulations, and scenario planning to drive operating gain analysis and profitability insights. This position is hybrid, with onboarding in Oakland or Rancho Cordova, CA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required with 4+ years FP&A experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with ERP/planning tools and MS Office suite.
• Knowledge of health insurance industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, budgeting and forecasting with business owners.
• Prepare monthly financial performance reports and variance analysis.
• Perform sophisticated analyses to inform strategic decisions.
• Manage cost allocations, profitability and scenario analyses.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models.
• Mentor junior team members and drive process improvements.
