Job summary

Make-A-Wish America seeks a Manager of Foundation Relations to identify, qualify, and pursue national foundation funding opportunities. You will research family and private foundations, map relationships, and develop strategies to expand institutional giving across the country.

You will collaborate with national and local chapters, maintain donor intelligence, and support prospect management in a remote-first environment. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Philanthropy, Business, Communications, Research, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional fundraising experience including institutional giving or prospect research.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to synthesize complex information into actionable fundraising recommendations.
• Remote-first, collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Researches, identifies, and qualifies family foundations with national funding priorities.
• Maintains strategic prospect portfolios with profiles, funding histories, and interests.
• Monitors foundation trends and informs fundraising strategy and pipeline.
• Develops briefs, profiles, and reports for frontline fundraisers and leadership.
• Supports local chapters with foundation opportunities and strategies.
• Keeps prospect records accurate in Salesforce and research platforms.
• Tracks pipeline stages and recommended next steps.
