Job summary

VNS Health is seeking an experienced Development professional to lead foundation and corporate fundraising efforts in New York City. You will craft grant proposals, manage donor relations, and coordinate with board and staff to advance funding strategies.

The role requires a minimum of five years in nonprofit fundraising, strong written and verbal communication, and experience with Raiser's Edge. Competitive benefits and opportunities for professional growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a related field.
• Minimum of five years of foundation/grant writing and donor relations experience.
• Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel and FC Search.
• Strong understanding of NY Metropolitan fundraising community; Raiser's Edge experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Initiates, plans and implements approaches to solicit foundations and corporations for funding opportunities with VNS Health.
• Researches, develops and writes fundraising materials including grant proposals and reports.
• Identifies, cultivates and maintains relationships with donors through communications and meetings.
• Plans, schedules and coordinates meetings with funders and VNS Health staff; prepares meeting materials.
• Manages database of grants and donors; ensures data accuracy and updates.
• Develops regular communication with board members, committees, staff and volunteers to execute fundraising strategies.
• Designs and develops corporate membership/sponsorship programs.
• Reviews programs and leads implementation of approved changes; participates in special projects.
