Job summary

Waterfront Alliance, based in New York, seeks a visionary VP of Development to lead a $3.5M+ fundraising program and drive growth across individual giving, major gifts, corporate sponsorships, grants, and special initiatives.

The role requires strategic leadership, collaboration with the CEO and Board, and responsibility for meeting revenue goals while expanding relationships with donors and partners in a hybrid New York setting.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive nonprofit development experience preferred.
• Experience managing a comprehensive fundraising program including individual giving, major gifts, grants, and events.
• Proven ability to set fundraising strategy and deliver revenue growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive annual and multi-year fundraising plan.
• Manage major donor cultivation and portfolio growth for increased giving.
• Lead donor stewardship programs and coordinate with communications and events teams.
• Oversee grants/calendar management and reporting with program and finance teams.
• Represent Waterfront Alliance at external events to secure support.
