Job summary

Synertex LLC in McLean, VA is seeking an experienced FOIA Redaction Analyst to review, redact, and prepare sensitive government records for release onsite. The role requires handling classified information under FOIA, Privacy Act, and EO 13526 with strict deadlines and meticulous documentation.

The ideal candidate has a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph, a BS/BA plus years of relevant experience (or substantial non-degree experience), and proven ability to work in highly classified environments

Qualifications

Requires a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
BS/BA plus 5 years of experience, or 9+ years of experience with no degree.
Experience supporting FOIA, PA, MDR, and/or ADR case processing including coordination and documentation.
Strong ability to review sensitive government records for disclosure, privacy, and classification compliance.
Excellent written communication with professionally formatted documents.

Responsibilities

Respond to requests for review and release of classified or sensitive information under FOIA, PA, EO 13526, and IC policies.
Handle complex cases including FOIA litigation and appeals; apply exemptions and administrative requirements.
Conduct Mandatory Declassification Review (MDR) and Automatic Declassification Review (ADR) per EO 13526.
Coordinate taskings, searches, and document collection across IC components and external agencies.
Validate search adequacy and ensure accurate case documentation and action tracking.
