Job summary

MV Transportation seeks a Procurement Coordinator (Fleet/Operations) to act as the liaison between Procurement and multiple business units. The role opens new locations, sources vendors, quotes bids, processes orders, maintains pricing/contract records, and ensures compliance across departments.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical and capable of handling multiple priorities while safeguarding confidential pricing and contract information.

Qualifications

• Two to four years of procurement, purchasing, supply-chain or admin experience.
• Strong analytical abilities for quotes, cost structures and proposals.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and pricing.
• Maintain confidentiality of pricing, negotiations and contracts.
• Understanding of competitive bidding and procurement best practices.
• Excellent vendor communication with internal stakeholders.
• Proficiency with spreadsheets, procurement software and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Centralized procurement: maintain vendor lists, pricing files and contracts.
• Evaluate supplier performance and support onboarding/qualification processes.
• Analyze pricing trends, spending patterns and supply-chain risks.
• Ensure procurement processes follow policies, budgets and compliance.
• Coordinate with internal departments to define requirements and timelines.
• Negotiate pricing, terms and service agreements; order IT equipment as needed.
• Coordinate vendor setup and cancellations for openings/closings.
• Maintain procurement records, monitor contract expirations and renewals.
• Support audits, budget reviews and cost-control initiatives.
• Track fleet-related spend and coordinate fleet procurement activity.
