Job summary

The Department of Motor Vehicles is seeking a skilled Fleet Coordinator at DMV Headquarters in Richmond to manage our agency's vehicle fleet and related equipment programs. You will handle lifecycle management, maintenance scheduling, budgeting, and compliance with state policies.

As Agency Transportation Officer, you will coordinate with Virginia State Police and other agencies, develop data-driven insights, and ensure fleet safety and operational efficiency across the Commonwealth.

Qualifications

• Experience in fleet operations, transportation coordination, and asset management.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance, vehicle equipment upfitting, and safety requirements.
• Ability to manage records, reports, and inventory per state policies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project experience.
• Excellent organizational skills with competing priorities.
• Effective written and verbal communication; proficient with MS Office.
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate small to mid-size vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee lifecycle of DMV's vehicle fleet, reservations, assignments, utilization, replacement.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, warranties, recalls, inspections, and inventory.
• Develop and monitor fleet budgets, track fuel/repair expenditures, provide data-driven recommendations.
• Lead UARC coordination with Virginia State Police on equipment procurement/installation.
• Transform data into reports and dashboards; monitor regulatory compliance.
• Maintain vehicle records, prepare compliance reports, manage reimbursements.
