Norfolk State University is seeking a financial operations professional to monitor budgets, manage procurement, and ensure compliance with university and state policies.

The role includes processing SPCC transactions, reconciling expense reports, and supporting executives with travel authorizations and fiscal operations while delivering superior service to IT faculty, staff, students, vendors, and campus partners.

Aufgaben

• Monitor departmental and college budgets, expenditures, commitments, and available balances; identify variances, potential funding issues, and unusual transactions; communicate financial information and recommendations to leadership.
• Coordinate procurement activities for the department, including creating requisitions, quotes, purchase orders, vendor/software renewals, and payment requests; monitor through completion.
• Process SPCC transactions, reconcile monthly expense reports, and ensure compliance with university and Commonwealth of Virginia purchasing policies.
• Complete timely fiscal year-end procedures in accordance with university guidelines.
• Assist executive administration support to the College/School/Department including managing complex fiscal operations, travel authorizations and expense reports.
