Job summary

Maersk in Charlotte, NC seeks a Senior Pricing Analyst for First Mile Pricing to model costs and set strategic price points across opportunities and tenders. You will escalate complex requests, govern pricing, and partner with Product, Procurement, Finance, and global teams to drive value.

You will influence pricing governance, develop tools, and coach colleagues, developing leadership skills within a fast-moving, international logistics environment.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in pricing, finance, or a closely related area.
• Ability to apply data and sound judgment to complex business and pricing challenges.
• Understanding of P&L statements, profitability measures, and the cost components associated with logistics and drayage.
• Ability to communicate complex pricing topics clearly and collaborate effectively across functions, organizational levels, and geographies.
• Ability to work independently, follow through on commitments, and navigate changing priorities and ambiguity.
• Familiarity with legal contract terms and their potential impact on pricing models.

Responsibilities

• Model transportation costs and develop pricing for First Mile opportunities, tenders, and strategic initiatives.
• Provide initial guidance and escalation support for analysts handling complex pricing requests.
• Analyze competitive pricing, profitability, margin performance, and the business impact of pricing decisions.
• Support customer profitability actions and perform financial analysis related to CM1, gross profit, EBIT, and P&L performance.
• Develop and improve pricing processes, models, frameworks, tools, contracting policies, and quoting governance.
• Coordinate with CEN, IPMs, Operations, and other stakeholders on opportunity requirements, prioritization, testing, feedback, waivers, and system enhancements.
• Support training, onboarding, and the continued development of pricing resources while helping ensure consistent pricing practices.
