Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Financial and Procurement Analyst to support payroll, expense reports, budgets, customer invoices and monthly reporting while overseeing procurement for facilities, operations and employees.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field and about six years of financial analysis experience, with preferred experience in government contract accounting. Collaboration with site staff and corporate buyers is essential to ensure compliance and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or related discipline.
• Six years of experience in financial analysis or accounting.
• Experience with government contract accounting preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required licensing, certifications and security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist and validate all timesheets for processing on a weekly basis.
• Process expense reports for employees for boot reimbursement and TDY expenses.
• Assist Business Manager with monthly billing as requested.
• Coordinate with site staff to support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and other requirements.
• Review procurement requests for adherence to policies and government regulations.
• Coordinate workflow and prioritize procurement requests among shop requestors.
• Review shop requisitions and assist/train requestors as needed.
• Work with Corporate buyers to procure items adhering to requirements and delivery dates.
• Negotiate price and terms when applicable.
• Track procurement for supplier compliance with negotiated terms and delivery dates.
• Establish new suppliers by interviewing prospective suppliers and monitoring performance.
• Monitor procurement procedures for improvements.
• Coordinate with procurement team to implement purchasing improvements.
• Manage receipt and distribution of procured items.
• Comply with governmental law and COR requirements.
