Job summary

Akima, LLC seeks a Financial Management Analyst to support the AFNWC H-MASS contract at Kirtland AFB. This on-site role backs the Financial Analysis & Accounting Division with funds management, forecasting, reconciliation, and reporting while ensuring compliance with fiscal laws and DoD regulations.

Responsibilities include preparing briefing charts, maintaining financial records, and producing status reports.

Qualifications

Active SECRET security clearance required for consideration.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
Master's degree highly preferred.
2+ years minimum experience; 5+ years highly preferred.
At least two years within an acquisition program office.
Experience with fiscal laws and DoD FM Regulation 7000.14.

Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with fiscal laws and funding policies including the Purpose Statute, Bona Fide Needs Rule, Anti-Deficiency Act, and DoD FMR 7000.14.
Research legal/regulatory guides for proper use of funds.
Maintain and utilize the AFNWC Financial Management Records Plan.
Prepare and coordinate office correspondence and briefing charts.
Collect, track, and update data; prepare recurring reports; provide forms management support.
Support financial analysis and reporting for the AFNWC/FM division; ensure data integrity in government systems.
Monitor budgeted funds and coordinate with program managers and leadership to ensure proper execution of funds.
Conduct trend analysis to identify variances and forecast funding needs; report status of funds, expenses, and obligations.
Assist in forecasting funded requirements and identify funding sources or shortfalls.
Assist with budget adjustments and reprogramming actions with required approvals.
Analyze fund transfers between classes and line items within the same appropriation.
Prepare, review, and research funding documents; reconcile and update complex reports; ensure accuracy across schedules.
Provide financial analysis for program reviews, budget drills, and meetings; produce status reports.
